A visit to Manta for GT Access, the UK’s largest independent company in the rental of work-at-height machines in the UK. Jonathan Till (owner and managing director) and Tom Long (commercial director), long-time Multitel Pagliero customers, got to know the entire workflow in the various plants. Founded 21 years ago, GT Access is based in Bromsgrove in Worcestershire, but with its 13 branches and over 50 locations with the association to the ‘Access Alliance’, it operates throughout the UK. Not only in rental and technical support, but also in safety training. Warehouse logistics, construction, industry, cleaning and maintenance, installation, and events are the sectors in which the three thousand aerial platforms in the rental fleet are used. The Multitel models include twelve HX200 EX articulated trucks, six MZ250 articulated boom with jib, two telescopic with jib MJ226, and one MJ201. Twenty-one models are set to grow in response to the company’s expansion in the territory. In addition to the HX200 EX – very popular for ease of set-up and use – the most popular among customers is the MZ250, which has become a must-have since its appearance on the UK market. Companies appreciate its compactness and excellent turning radius, which allow access to areas where many other machines cannot enter. Its 25 m working height, 14 m outreach, and articulated jib with the ability to work below ground reach by as much as -2.5 m give it a versatility that allows it to be used in the most diverse areas. Two models, however, impressed Jon Till and Tom Long: the telescopic MTE270 EX and the new articulated MXE170, designed to operate in the narrow streets of urban or historical centers and, in general, in working areas with limited space. Accompanied in Italy by Greg Moore – UK & Ireland General Sales Manager Multitel Pagliero – the two managers were more than satisfied with the visit: “The workflow is very smooth, the staff are well trained and know what they are doing, the plants are clean, tidy and it is always interesting to meet people and see the products live”.
A very positive opinion, which will most likely materialise in the increase of the current rental fleet.
