Two Multitel Pagliero MJ 685 truck-mounted platforms were delivered in 2022 to as many rental companies belonging to the big Foselev group: Locnacelle and NASA. The latter was recently employed at the ArcelorMittal steel plant in Fos-sur-Mer, in the Bouches-du-Rhône department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. Founded in 1970, the Foselev Group is a major player – in France and abroad – in areas such as public construction, civil and industrial engineering, nuclear, energy, naval, space, and aeronautics. A global partner that also supports companies in logistics, lifting, and handling. Services performed by the rental companies Locnacelle and NASA, which have several Multitel Pagliero models in their fleet for great heights and over 3.5 tonnes. A necessary choice when working regularly on large construction sites.
These include, as mentioned, the MJ 685, a telescopic platform with jib mounted on a 32-tonne truck with a maximum working height of 68.70 meters. It is the tallest of the platforms allowed on public roads, not surprisingly also the favourite choice of the top Italian rental players. At its maximum horizontal outreach of 32 m, the platform’s capacity is 120 kg, 280 kg at 29.7 m, 400 kg at 28.2 m, and 600 kg at 25.1 m. The turret rotation of 450° and the self-levelling basket with 90°+90° rotation allow the operator to get around obstacles and precisely position himself on the work area. Rotation of the basket 180°+180° is available on request, which increases the operating capacity. A large machine, it nevertheless has a limited stabilization footprint thanks to the dual cross member only on the rear axle, with excellent performance even with straight-line stabilizing. The delivery of the MJ 685 to NASA was preceded by that of an MJ 450; telescopic with a jib on a 26-tonne truck with a maximum working height of 45 m, which also allows working below ground reach.
