A project deriving from the experience of four historic companies
Four long-standing Turin-based firms that had been in the rental business for years — Icos Noleggio, Costruire, Cossa and De Tommasi — merged in March 2023 to form Decos Noleggio. The establishing of this new organisation has been a clear strategic choice to pool skills, expertise and resources in order to present itself on the market as a more structured, competitive firm able to handle increasingly complex needs.
All four companies are part of the BigRent network, BigMat’s rental service that provides construction equipment and machinery to both professionals and private consumers via a comprehensive network of sales outlets and specialised centres.
Decos Noleggio has grown swiftly, soon generating turnover of almost €10 million thanks to the solidity built up in the past by the founding firms. Now operating in the provinces of Turin and Asti with a network of 15 branches and a team of approximately 40 people focused on rentals, the company has confirmed its status as a vibrant and rapidly expanding business.
A flexible structure and customer-focused service
Decos Noleggio’s ability to swap vehicles across its several locations is one of its unique qualities, guaranteeing prompt availability and rapid responses throughout the country.
The company is a multifaceted business: in addition to rental services, it also sells machinery, equipment, and consumables, providing its customers with a complete and integrated service. In this particular industry, where response times and operational availability are critical, an extensive network and direct local presence are significant added values.
The platform fleet and Multitel’s role
Decos Noleggio has been working with Multitel Pagliero since its foundation, but its origins go much further back: all of the founding firms were already Multitel customers, which has contributed to the development of a strong and enduring partnership over time.
Decos Noleggio now has 21 Multitel platforms in its fleet, while the group as a whole has approximately 70 units. These numbers enable it to handle a wide variety of applications and ensure operational continuity.
Alongside the MTE 270, one of the most popular models due to its versatility and ease of use, the fleet includes several articulated platforms such as the MX 200, MX 250 and MZ 250, as well as compact solutions like the MXE 170 on Piaggio Porter and several tracked spider platforms such as the SMX 210 and SMX 250.
This variety ensures that the best equipment for the job is always available, enabling operations in a broad range of situations, from more complicated operations to urban work at a height. In line with rental needs, most of the vehicles are lighter weight, an aspect that facilitates their use and handling, making them particularly suitable for urban settings.
Giovanni Fumero confirms the value of this collaboration, emphasising:
“Over the years we have built a solid relationship with Multitel Pagliero, based on dependable service and high-quality products. It’s essential for us to be able to rely on versatile, easy-to-use machines and constant assistance in order to work seamlessly and successfully satisfy our customers’ needs”.
Services, training and technical assistance
With an emphasis on quality and safety, Decos Noleggio offers all the services expected of an organised aerial platform rental business. Technical support, scheduled maintenance in compliance with manufacturer guidelines, and continuous operational support are all guaranteed by the firm.
In order to enable operators to use the devices safely and in full compliance with regulations, training is crucial. Courses are arranged in line with Legislative Decree 81/08.
In this regard, Multitel is a strategic partner not only for the calibre of its products, but also for the efficiency of its after-sales service. In the day-to-day management of operations, technical assistance and remote support are seen as tangible benefits that help to uphold high operational standards.
Growth and development: an outlook for the future
By fortifying its alliances with construction suppliers and expanding its sales network, Decos Noleggio aims to further consolidate its expansion in the future. The goal is to promptly identify market needs and offer rapid and effective solutions while maintaining direct contact with the end customer.
The partnership with Multitel Pagliero will continue to be crucial to this process, both in growing the fleet and in finding increasingly specific solutions able to cover underserved market niches.
