BERNI RENT GROWS FAST AND IS EXPECTING THE NEW MXE 160 ON PICK-UP IN JANUARY

NEW MXE 160 ON PICK-UP for berni rent

The new MXE 160 Pickup joins the Berni Rent fleet.

Berni Rent

is a relatively young and fast-growing company. Founded and managed in 2010 by Remo Berni, it is based in Città di Castello (Perugia) and deals with the rental of aerial platforms, telehandlers, forklifts, moving equipment, trucks and vans. A wide offer– the rental fleet has more than 200 units – carried out by a staff of 14 people, including his wife Patrizia and sons Lorenzo, Riccardo and Gianluca, which allows them to support companies in Umbria, Marche and Toscana, operating in the most diverse sectors: from construction to the installation of illuminations, from cleaning to pruning. Berni Rent’s growth is witnessed not only by the development of the fleet, but also by the opening of the Umbertide (Perugia) and Sansepolcro (Arezzo) offices.

The relationship with Multitel Pagliero dates back to the beginning of the activity and has been consolidated over the years. Today Berni Rent’s fleet includes 15 truck-mounted platforms up to 3.5 t: the articulated MZ 250, the HX 200 EX, the MX 250, the MX 210 and the MX 196; the telescopic 160 ALU R and the telescopic with jib MJ 201. New arrivals are planned for 2025, including in January that of the new MXE 160 articulated truck mounted on a Ford Ranger 4×4 pick-up. Remo Berni explains the reason for the choice: ‘The choice fell on this model because here in the Apennine area there are several small villages with small roads and very complicated historical centres. We therefore needed a vehicle capable of moving over often rough terrain and in confined spaces’.

The MXE 160 has a maximun working height of 15.70 m, a maximum horizontal outreach of 5.70 m and a platform’s load capacity of 250 kg and 80 kg with an 8.90 m outreach. The vehicle’s 4×4 drive opens the way to off-road use and access to countryside areas with unstable, uneven, muddy and sloping terrain. Can ford water to a depth of 800mm. Atn a lenght of 5.975 mm and a width of 1.910 mm the narrow streets of town centres are no obstacle for this platform, while the straight-line stabilizers extends just 1.890 mm. Another factor that makes it perfect for use in this type of territory is the 125 kW Euro 6d engine with Start & Stop, a low pressure EGR system and SCR system, which minimise fuel consumption and NOx and CO2 emissions.
