Like many Italian companies, Tecnocar in Nizza Monferrato (Asti) is a family business. Founded in 1974 by Luigi Demichelis, it is currently led by his son Alberto, joined by his brother Gianmario since 2008. The territory is the marvellous Basso Monferrato area, rich in Unesco heritage hilly landscapes, vineyards, wine cellars and villages steeped in history. Initially the business was the sale, rental, and repair of forklift trucks, which in 2003 Alberto decided to expand with the short-term rental of aerial platforms. An intuition that turns out to be a happy one, helped by the spread of a greater work culture with ever-higher safety standards. 20 years later, Tecnocar has 114 units, 30 of which are truck-mounted platforms from 18 to 30 metres. A young fleet of machines, the average age is 2.5 years, and articulated, so as to offer solutions adapted to different types of construction sites. The client base is varied and ranges from companies and craftsmen in the construction and plant engineering sectors, but with the presence of wineries and companies specialized in the production and installation of oenological machinery, plant maintenance services play an important role. Testifying to the company’s growth are not only the numbers, but also the quality of service, as Tecnocar has also been an IPAF training center since 2015, coordinated and managed by Gianmario Demichelis.

Eight Multitel Pagliero models were purchased in 2022, allowing the rental fleet to be reinforced and expanded: four MXE 200 articulated platforms and one MX 210; two MT 240 EX and MTE 270 EX telescopic platforms; and one SMX 250 tracked platform. Alberto Demichelis emphasizes that for reliability and performance ‘positive feedback from customers was not slow in coming. In addition, the ease of use has significantly reduced the need for direct or telephone support.’ All models are equipped with the telemetry system “thanks to which we can check the condition of the machine at any time and make a diagnosis in real time, directly from the office.” Operating within a radius of about 50 km from the Nizza Monferrato headquarters and having no branches, the mix of remote assistance and local presence allows Tecnocar to offer a widespread, punctual, and efficient service.
