PEKKANISKA LAUNCHES NEW TRUCK-MOUNTED PLATFORM DIVISION WITH MULTITEL AS EXCLUSIVE PARTNER

The Finnish rental company strengthens its aerial access offering with Multitel’s truck-mounted platforms

Pekkaniska, a leading Finnish rental company specialized in access platforms and cranes, has launched a new division dedicated to truck-mounted aerial platforms, choosing Multitel Pagliero as its exclusive supplier. The collaboration marks a strategic step for Pekkaniska, expanding its already comprehensive rental portfolio and confirming its commitment to quality, safety, and reliable customer service.

The first batch of Multitel truck-mounted platforms is significant, but for Pekkaniska it is only the beginning. The company has started, and will continue, to build a nationwide truck-mounted platform rental service in line with current quality standards, as part of its nationwide rental network.

At the Maxpo show Pekkaniska presented a Multitel MTE 270 EX, mounted on an IVECO Daily 35-14 chassis and finished in the company’s bespoke livery—highlighting the launch of this exclusive cooperation.

This robust yet agile platform offers a maximum working height of 27 m and delivers substantial performance across all parameters. Its telescopic boom achieves a horizontal outreach of 17 m with a 100 kg load, retaining a capacity of 250 kg at 12.3 m. The work basket, sized at 1.4 m × 0.7 m, rotates 90° each way, and the turret provides an impressive 400° rotation for versatile positioning.

Built with an aluminium boom and base frame, plus a micro-perforated “High Line” floor, the MTE 270 EX combines lightweight construction with precise maneuverability. It includes EX-type stabilizers for efficient setup, automatic leveling, and the innovative MUSA (Multitel Self-Adapting Outreach) system, which optimizes reach based on stabilization configuration. Additional features such as built-in telematics (GPS, machine status, diagnostics) make the model ideal for modern fleet management.

A strategic choice for both the companies

Pekkaniska is not a generalist rental company but a specialist in access platforms and cranes, managing everything in-house: from import and logistics to service and aftersales. This structure allows the company to integrate new product lines quickly and effectively, without the need for separate divisions or external dealers. The truck-mounted platform segment will therefore benefit directly from the experience, professionalism, and efficiency of Pekkaniska’s existing team.

The decision to collaborate with Multitel came after careful evaluation of different European manufacturers. Pekkaniska was looking for more than just machines: the company wanted a long-term partner with proven know-how, reliable production, and a future-oriented vision. Multitel stood out for its track record, solid organization, and responsiveness.

“We wanted a partner that has done this for a long time and continues to innovate. What convinced us was not only the quality of the platforms but also the straightforward and effective communication: whenever we asked for something, we got real answers from the right people. Presenting the MTE 270 EX in our colours at the fair allowed us to visually reinforce that this is not just an equipment purchase—it’s part of our identity and service promise, We are proud to expand our service offering for customers who already value the quality we deliver. The launch of this new product line comes in response to long-standing customer demand to broaden into this segment. Customer needs are diverse, and every job requires the right equipment to create real added value. With our nationwide ‘one number’ principle, the entire Pekkaniska fleet is available through a single point of contact—wherever the work is located. This new product line strengthens our ability to serve customers more broadly, and with even higher quality said Henri Kopsala, Business Director, at Pekkaniska.

Mirko Rebuzzi, Distribution Manager at Multitel Pagliero, added:

“From the very first meeting, the Pekkaniska team showed professionalismn, clarity and high standards about their needs. They were highly focused on quality and equally attentive to the long-term support we could provide. Custom-branded units like the MTE 270 EX highlight our collaborative approach — we tailor excellence, not just equipment.”

The new truck-mounted platform division will initially be managed by Pekkaniska’s existing team, integrating seamlessly with the company’s in-house rental, service, and logistics operations. Future plans include customer feedback initiatives, additional fleet diversification, and ongoing staff training programs in collaboration with Multitel.
