OMEC NOLEGGI RENEWS ITS TRUST IN MULTITEL PAGLIERO: FOUR NEW MXE 170s ON PIAGGIO PORTER DELIVERED

In historic city centers, narrow alleys, or internal courtyards, reaching the job site is often the first real challenge. Those who work daily in these environments know it well: before going up, you need to get there — efficiently and with agility.

It was this very need that led OMEC Noleggi — a key player in the aerial work platform and rental sector — to further expand its fleet with four new Multitel MXE 170 truck-mounted platforms on Piaggio Porter NP6 Long Range.

A strategic and operational decision, the result of a trusted relationship with Multitel Pagliero built over more than twenty years based on ongoing technical dialogue and a shared vision of goals.

“Installers, maintenance workers, tradespeople, electricians… So many professionals work daily in tight spaces, restricted traffic zones, or areas with architectural or environmental constraints,” – explains Michele Mazzanti, Sales Manager Italy for OMEC Noleggi “We wanted to give a real answer to their needs, and that’s why we chose to integrate the MXE 170 into our fleet.”

The MXE 170 on Piaggio Porter is compact in size but powerful in performance. Its launch was backed by a bold campaign: “We made it pocket-sized.” A perfect summary of what it stands for: a truck-mounted platform designed to go anywhere, with no compromise on safety, outreach, or working height.

OMEC Noleggi has always stood out for its commitment to the real needs of field operators. Adding the MXE 170 on Piaggio Porter to its fleet reflects a clear strategy: delivering smart, agile, and safe solutions for professionals working on urban job sites, in historic centers, or under complex conditions.

It’s not the first time OMEC and Multitel have worked together, but this latest step marks a significant evolution in their long-term collaboration — one built on listening, technical insight, and design synergy.

Compact in Size, Big in Performance

With a working height of 17.1 meters, an 8.9-meter outreach (with 100 kg in the basket) and an Up & Over clearance of 6,8 m, the MXE 170 moves nimbly on a vehicle under 6 meters long and just 2.55 meters tall. Its light weight (2,800 kg) and reduced stabilisation (1,800 mm) make it perfect for narrow roads, tight parking areas, or delicate surfaces such as cobblestones or grass.

Mounted on a Piaggio Porter NP6 Long Range — another symbol of Italian excellence — with petrol/LPG dual-fuel engine, it ensures urban-friendly operation, lower running costs, and reduced emissions.

The aluminium basket (1.20 x 0.70 m), also available in fiberglass for work near power lines, features ±50° electric rotation, proportional electro-hydraulic controls, EVE technology for smooth, connected movements, and a moment limiter for operator safety. A smart, versatile machine ideal for construction, façade maintenance, system installations, roofing, antenna setups, pruning, and more.

“This platform, though introduced two years ago, is still incredibly relevant,” adds Mazzanti. “It’s the result of a shared design effort where Multitel truly listened to those who live the worksite every day.”

An Industrial Ecosystem That Works

“The MXE 170 on Piaggio Porter didn’t come from a one-off idea,” says Gianfranco Bronzini, founder and CECO of OMEC. “It’s the product of an efficient ecosystem — from manufacturer to rental company to the end user. It’s a hands-on, industrial approach that truly values real-world work.”

A view shared by Renzo Pagliero, CEO of Multitel Pagliero:

“OMEC Noleggi has been a long-time partner — over 20 years of collaboration. There’s mutual respect, trust, and a relationship built on shared values. Clients like OMEC give us clear, credible insights from the field, which are crucial to designing platforms that solve real problems. Their perspective has always been a concrete reference point for our technical decisions.”

Reinforcing this shared strategic vision, OMEC chose the standard version of the MXE 170, with no need for customisation.

A Partnership Built on Trust

The commercial support provided by Filippo Rimondi, added even more value to this delivery — “not just for the sale, but above all for after-sales service,” Mazzanti notes.

OMEC Noleggi continues to choose Multitel Pagliero as its go-to manufacturer for truck-mounted platforms — a conscious decision rooted in a long-term strategic partnership, based on concrete results, mutual listening, and industrial consistency.

The OMEC–Multitel collaboration has deep roots: over 120 platforms are now part of OMEC’s fleet, with working heights ranging from 16 to 77 meters, across both sub-3.5 ton and heavier categories. This ongoing growth is fueled by technical reliability, operational flexibility, and a shared belief in the value of Italian industrial excellence.

In this sense, the “Made in Multitel” concept takes on even more meaning, as Bronzini explains:

“The fact that over 95% of components are produced in-house is a real guarantee of quality, control, and design continuity. It’s an approach that reflects values we strongly share: focus on local communities, skills development, and a fully Italian supply chain.”

With these four new MXE 170s on Piaggio Porter, OMEC Noleggi strengthens its offering with a platform that’s truly built to work — pocket-sized in form, but great in performance — born from collaboration between those who build and those who operate in the field every single day.
