FARIOLI RENTS OUT MULTITEL PAGLIERO’S MJ 525 FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF THE PALA IGOR IN NOVARA

Farioli multitel novara

Farioli e Multitel insieme per la Ferri srl, al lavoro per il Pala Igor di Novara

Farioli, a 164 year old, and Multitel Pagliero, 113, have been ‘dating’ each other for 30 years. That is, since the Novara company purchased the first truck-mounted platform from the Manta (Cuneo) manufacturer. Two companies that belong to Italy’s industrial history, but which continue to grow and innovate. Otherwise, they would not be able to reach 2024 in full health and efficiency. If that of Multitel Pagliero is well-known history, that of Farioli deserves to be remembered, since 1860 is the year before the Unification of Italy; the year in which the brothers Angelo and Pasquale Farioli connected the city of Castellanza with that of Milan by horse-drawn wagons, creating one of the first courier services. Decades of transporting goods between Novara and its province led in 1953 to the first investments in the business of lifting materials and people at height. This marked the beginning of a new history that today sees Farioli as one of the main companies in the rental of aerial platforms, crane trucks and forklifts between Novara, Vercelli, Biella and south-west Milan, but operating throughout northern Italy.

In the present relationship with Multitel Pagliero, there are 20 truck-mounted platforms from 17 to 60 metres and one of them, the MJ525, was hired with an operator by Ferri srl from Garbagnana Novarese (Novara). The company, which specialises in civil and industrial construction, used it for the special maintenance of the laminated beams of Novara’s Pala Igor. This is the sports hall in which the Igor Volley Novara women’s team plays, which competes in A1 and holds the European Challenge Cup. After assessing the structure of the building and considering Ferri’s requirements, Stefano Farioli recommended the use of the telescopic boom on a 32-tonne truck with a maximum height of 52.60 m. If the horizontal outreach of 37 m allowed the technicians to reach the most difficult spots, the basket’s rotation of 180 + 180 degrees and the extendable jib of 21 m– which makes it possible to work below ground reach to -15.50 m – ensured them extreme precision and a large working area. The basket, which has a load capacity of 600 kg at 30 metres outreach, has an additional plus: certification to get off the basket at height.
