Founded as an independent company in 1998, but with roots in the lifting and access equipment sector dating back to 1978, Śmielak is today a family-run business led by Krzysztof Śmielak together with his sons Konrad and Kacper.
The company specialises in the rental of aerial work platforms with trained operators, supporting projects in industry, construction, energy, infrastructure and complex urban environments across Poland. The multigenerational structure of the company combines decades of hands-on experience with a modern, highly professional approach to technology and work organisation.

Smielak’s relationship with Multitel Pagliero began in 1998, through EASY-LIFT, with the purchase of a Multitel 22 ALU. That machine holds a special place in the company’s history: it was the very first Multitel platform introduced onto the rental market in Poland.

Over the years, Smielak has worked with a wide range of manufacturers, gaining a broad market perspective. At the same time, Multitel has remained a constant presence in the fleet, with more than 20 used Multitel platforms (16–35 m working height) acquired over time, alongside six factory-new machines in the 3.5-ton category.

One particularly notable project involved a custom-built Multitel 20 ALU installed on a MAN 6×6 chassis, developed with full technical documentation and officially approved by the Polish Technical Inspection Authority — a clear example of the flexibility and engineering depth behind Multitel solutions.

According to Smielak, Multitel platforms stand out for intuitive operation, high operating comfort and well-balanced technical parameters. “They are machines designed with real working conditions in mind — from safety to the practical needs of companies operating in demanding environments.” said Krzysztof Śmielak.

Among the most popular models in daily operations is the Multitel MTE 230, appreciated for its exceptional weight-to-performance ratio. With a 3.5-ton GVW, up to 300 kg basket capacity and 16 m of outreach, it often makes the difference when working in tight urban spaces.

The Role Of Windex: Local Expertise, Nationwide Support

Since 2014, Smielak has been working with Windex, the Multitel dealer for Poland, represented by Andrzej Aszyk. Through this partnership, the company has purchased several new machines, including the Multitel MJ 375 currently in operation.

For Smielak, the value of Windex lies in its professional approach, strong technical competence and deep understanding of real operational conditions.
With 24/7 service availability and a nationwide branch network, Windex provides essential support for projects carried out hundreds of kilometres away from the company’s base. Even with Smielak’s extensive internal expertise, the advisory and service support of Windex has proven decisive on multiple occasions, ensuring fast response times, technical reliability and safe project execution.

MJ 375 In Action: Christmas Installations In A Complex Urban Setting

The Multitel MJ 375 was recently deployed for the installation of Christmas decorations and a large Christmas tree at one of Warsaw’s shopping centres, located within the historic complex of a former combined heat and power plant, now transformed into a modern commercial and service hub.

The site’s complex architecture and confined spaces required a machine capable of combining compact transport dimensions with excellent stability and operational precision.

The MJ 375 delivered clear advantages such as smooth manoeuvring in restricted areas, high work stability and a generous basket load capacity, ensuring safe and comfortable operations. A particularly appreciated feature was the 180° + 180° basket rotation, which allowed the installation team to work efficiently and ergonomically on opposite sides of architectural elements such as chimneys — a decisive factor for both safety and productivity.

A Constructive Dialogue Focused On Continuous Improvement

As active users of the MJ 375, Smielak regularly shares practical, field-based feedback with Windex, with the sole aim of supporting the continuous optimisation and future development of Multitel machines.

This open and constructive dialogue reflects a partnership built not only on trust, but also on a shared commitment to technical progress. Krzysztof Śmielak declared: “ Through their carefully engineered design, superior stability, and intuitive control systems, Multitel platforms significantly enhance workplace safety standards. Simultaneously, they enable us to maintain high-quality service delivery and efficiently reduce task execution time. ”

Building on the experience gained with the MJ 375, Smielak has already approached Windex to evaluate the Multitel MJE 710, currently under preliminary analysis for future projects. For a company that has built its operations around Multitel equipment from the very beginning, this represents not just a fleet expansion, but the continuation of a long-standing technical and professional journey.
